Reading Roadrunners Mortimer 10K & 3K
MortJB (3)

Reading Roadrunners is sad to announce that it will no longer be organising the Mortimer 10K and junior 3K, which has been an annual fixture in the Mortimer calendar for well over 30 years.  This difficult decision has been taken purely owing to the increasing amount of traffic through the village and the need for runners to cross busy roads.

We are working with the organisers of the Swallowfield 10K, which closed after last year’s event, to take it over and expect to open bookings for a September event in the spring.

The annual Mortimer 10K took place on Sunday 29th September 2019  in conjunction with an 8K charity walk and a 3K junior race.

The course is undulating through the country lanes of Mortimer and starts and finishes at the Mortimer Fairground, RG7 3SW which is approximately 5 miles south of  M4 J11 and 3.5 miles west of the A33. There will be medals for all finishers. Trophies for the races will be awarded to the first male & female runners and the first male & female in each age category.

Around the start/finish area you will find refreshments and stalls.  The Fairground itself has its own play area so it is an ideal setting for a family day out.

Both 10K & 3K races will be chip timed.

Events start at 10:15am

Entries are open; the closing date for postal and online entries is 26th September 2019
