Club Funded Events

The club is pleased to be able to fund entries to a number of events or leagues across the year.  This list is agreed between the committee and the Team Captains, and may be revised annually.   Funding of events is contingent on there being sufficient numbers of members interested in attending.  Please talk to the Team Captains if you are interested in taking part in any of these events.

It is anticipated that RR will compete in the following leagues:

·       Hampshire Cross Country League.

·       Thames Valley Cross Country League.

·       Southern Counties Veterans Athletics Club (SCVAC) – Vets Track and Field League.

RR share the cost and organisation of a home SCVAC fixture with another club.  The club will pay the costs of entering the leagues but not travelling expenses to the various events. There is a separate SCVAC Club Rep, and that person (not the Team Captains) will promote this event.

CROSS COUNTRY RACES

Depending on location, RR may compete in the

·       English National XC Champs,

·       SEAA XC Relays,

·       SEAA XC Champs,

·       Masters XC Champs,

·       Berks, Bucks & Oxon XC Champs.

The club will reimburse individual entries for RR’s that run the race but will not pay individual travelling expenses, however if there are sufficient numbers taking part then transport may be arranged (eg a coach) but this will be at the discretion of the Committee and Team Captains.

RELAYS

It is anticipated that RR will compete in the

·       SEAA 6/4/3 Stage Road Relays,

·       SEAA 12/6 Stage Road Relays,

·       ERRA National 12/6 Road Relays (Note: senior men need to qualify via the SEAA 12/6 relay)

·       Ridgeway Relay,

·       Runnymede Relay,

·       BMAF Road Relay,

The club will pay team entries for these relays. Refer to the table below for travelling expenses.
