3 members per team running a leg each consisting of two laps of a top-secret course of 3,300 metres.

This event started back in 1990, it is a fun event no matter your ability, age or pace. The real skill is knowing your pace and guessing it right without wearing a watch or carrying a phone.

We open the event to Non-Reading Roadrunners too, and it is well supported by other local clubs & runners.

All proceeds go to our club charity for 2024 the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

If you don’t have a team don’t worry, still enter in advance and we will find you one.

Before you sign up you’ll need to provide:

  • The name of your team or full names of the other people on your team
  • Optionally ,the name of your club, if you belong to one
  • The time in which you forecast completing the 3,300 metre course to the nearest second.
  • A contact email address
  • In case of emergency name and number for each member

Rules:

  • Teams of three comprising any combination of gender and ability.
  • Predicted times must be given prior to the event. And once submitted cannot be changed.
  • No watches to be worn or phones on the course.
  • The winning team is the one closest to their predicted times.
  • If a team member is missing, another member may run in their place, but to their predicted time.

Prizes will be awarded to the winning team and to the person closest to their predicted time.
