Martin Bush’s 900 Marathons

On the 10th June at the Thames Path Potter marathon Martin Bush completed a weekend double to hit the 900 marathon barrier making him second most prolific marathon runner in the UK.  This is one fantastic achievement for a member of our club.
On Saturday during our Boat trip I made the surprise announcement and presented him with the award along with Pete ‘The Train’ Morris. See video at the bottom of the page.

I’ve travelled and ran many marathons with Martin and could not meet a more likeable humble bloke. Well done matey from us all!! See you on your 1000th shortly.

New Website

Welcome to our new shiny website. I’ve been working for weeks setting this up and moving content over etc. I think I’ve been driving Caroline insane as whilst I’m doing this I’m not booking marathons or even sleeping.
Anyway I’m sure I’ve made a few errors on the way and hopefully a few positive changes. Please contact me on webmaster@readingroadrunners.org with any comments. And if I’m in a good mood I may even reply 🙂

Cheers

Pete Morris & The PM

Who the the hell is that posing with the PM?

Looks like all including myself enjoyed yet another successful Maidenhead 10. But wait.. Hang on.. Who was that with our PM Teresa May taking selfies? It was none other than our very own Pete ‘the train’ Morris & Kerry Eastwood who the PM was happy to pose with. It even made the Daily Mail.  The PM was overheard saying to Pete. ‘I told my friends I would grab a selfie with two celebrities but as Bushy is not here this year it looks like you’ll have to do.’

Sadly Pete couldn’t persuade his new pal to join us at the pub.
