We have entered 4 teams into this year’s Ridgeway Relay, as usual.

The Ridgeway Relay will take place on Sunday 18th June, starting at 7.30am at Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire, and finishing by 8.00pm at Marlborough, Wiltshire. There are 10 legs, with each leg a different length. Runners of all abilities are welcome.  Click here for information about the race..

The teams will be made up as follows:
A Team – mixed team with at least 2 women
B Team – mixed team with at least 2 women
Ladies’ Team – either all ladies or with a maximum of 2 men
Over 60s Team – mixed team with at least 2 women

The route is not completely signposted, so it is up to each runner to find out the details of their leg in advance. There are many runners who have participated before, and can advise on routes. Roadrunners often also get together to run various legs in advance of the race day.

If you are interested in taking part, please let me know as soon as possible, and specify which leg you would prefer to do (if you have a preference). The legs are listed below, and further details of each leg are provided in the document attached. Obviously, the earlier the leg, the earlier in the day it will be run.

Leg 1 – 11 miles – Ivinghoe Beacon to Wendover
Leg 2 – 6 miles – Wendover to Whiteleaf
Leg 3 – 9.4 miles – Whiteleaf to Lewknor
Leg 4 – 5.4 miles – Lewknor to Swyncombe
Leg 5 – 10.1 miles – Swyncombe to South Stoke
Leg 6 – 10.4 miles – South Stoke to Bury Down
Leg 7 – 9.1 miles – Bury Down to Sparsholt
Leg 8 – 7.8 miles – Sparsholt to Charlbury Hill
Leg 9 – 10.7 miles – Charlbury Hill to Barbury Castle
